By accessing or using PassTheKeys ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
PassTheKeys is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects college students looking to hand off their lease with students looking for housing. We facilitate connections but are not a party to any lease agreement, sublease, or housing transaction.
You must be at least 18 years old and a current or incoming college student to use the Platform. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed.
Users are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings. You agree not to post false, misleading, or fraudulent information. PassTheKeys reserves the right to remove any listing at our discretion.
PassTheKeys does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any listing. We do not verify lease terms, landlord approval, or property conditions. Users should conduct their own due diligence before entering any housing arrangement.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
PassTheKeys provides tools to facilitate communication between tenants regarding lease transfers, including template documents and landlord consent email generators. These tools are provided as convenience features only. PassTheKeys does not guarantee the enforceability of any lease transfer, sublease, or assignment agreement. The final responsibility for all lease transfers lies between the parties involved (current tenant, new tenant, and landlord/property management). Users are strongly encouraged to consult with their property management office and, where appropriate, a legal professional before executing any lease transfer.
Template documents provided on this platform are general-purpose starting points and may not account for specific provisions in your lease agreement. Users should review all documents carefully and modify them to fit their specific circumstances. PassTheKeys assumes no liability for the outcome of any lease transfer facilitated through the platform.
